Recruitment of Single Window Operator (Clerk) 2012-13


Corporation Bank invites on-line applications for the post of Single Window Operator, from Indian citizens who have taken the Common Written Examination for Clerical Cadre conducted  by IBPS in 2011-12 and have a valid score card issued by IBPS
Payment of application fees: 12th June, 2012 to 26th June, 2012
Opening date for online registration: 12th June, 2012
Last date for online registration (including for candidates from far flung areas): 26th June, 2012
Vacancies: Since Single Window Operator recruitment would be on State/UT-wise basis, it will therefore be necessary that candidates apply for vacancies of a State/UT from which they have appeared for the Common Written Examination and in which they have qualified

Pay Scale: Rs 8000-400/1-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500-800/1-19300/-

Emoluments: Total emoluments for graduates at the start of the scale in SWO cadre will be 13961/- (approx) (including DA and HRA)
Other benefits include reimbursement towards conveyance expenses, Telephone expenses, Newspaper, Canteen subsidy, Medical expenses, Hospitalization expenses, brief case, LFC, Gratuity, Paid leaves (casual leave, privilege leave, sick leave, maternity leave etc) and other staff welfare measures like scholarship to meritorious children, medical check-up, spectacles, group insurance etc

Probation Period: 6 months
Eligibility Criteria (as on 01st August, 2011)

Nationality/Citizenship: A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 01st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the group discussion/interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the Govt of India has issued the necessary eligibility certificate to him/her
Age: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 28 years

Educational Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university or any equivalent exam recognized as such by Govt of India in any discipline with minimum of 40% marks or its equivalent
SC/ST/VI/HI/OC candidates must obtain 35% marks

Essential requirement: Computer literacy is essential for the post
Knowledge of official language of the State/UT to read, write and speak is essential
Degree obtained from the recognized universities/institutes recognized by the Govt of India only will be considered
The educational qualification prescribed for the post is the minimum
Candidates must specifically indicate the class/division and percentage of marks obtained calculated to the nearest two decimals in the relevant column of the application
Where no percentage of marks is awarded by the University, but only CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage
The result of the qualifying examination, graduation or equivalent to graduation, as the case may be, should have been announced by the university on or before 01st August, 2011
Candidates should have obtained the specified IBPS score in each test and/in aggregate in the Common Written Examination conducted by Clerical Cadre in 2011-12
Candidates should be able to produce the scorecard in support of the scores mentioned in the online application form, if called for further selection processes such as Interview

Relaxation in Age Limit: SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwD 10 years, Persons who have ordinary been domiciled in Kashmir division of J&K state during 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989-5 years, Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen-Actual period of service rendered in the defence forces plus 3 years (8 years for disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years, Persons (children/family members of those) affected by 1984 riots- 5 years, Widows, divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried-9 years, regular employees of the Union Carbide Factory, Bhopal retrenched from service (applicable to Madhya Pradesh state only)-5 years

Application Fee (non-refundable): SC/ST/VI/HI/OC Rs 20/-, for all others Rs 100/-
Requisite application fee may be paid through CBS at any of the branches of Corporation Bank, by means of a payment challan as per the format given on the Bank’s website www.corpbank.com
Through NEFT at any Bank branch
Demand drafts, cheques, money orders, postal orders, pay orders, banker’s cheques, postal stamps, etc will not be accepted
The payment towards application fee through CBS/NEFT can be made between 12th June, 2012 and 26th June, 2012
The CBS fee payment challan/NEFT receipt contains two parts
The first part will be retained by the branch
The candidate’s copy of the fee payment challan/NEFT receipt must be retained with the candidate after the necessary details such as Transaction ID/NEFT UTR Number, branch code etc are filled in by the bank official
Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances nor can it be held in reserve for any other future selection process
Selection Procedure: Selection for Single Window Operator posts will be made on the basis of merit ranking after adding the marks (TWSS) in Common Written Examination (CWE) conducted by IBPS in November-December, 2011 and interview

Interview: Depending upon the number of vacancies, the Bank reserves the right to call only those candidates who have sufficiently high IBPS score in the stipulated Common Written Examination for Interview
The total marks for interview will be 100
Candidates have to obtain 40 marks (35 marks for SC/ST/OBC/VI/HI/OC candidates) to qualify in the interview
The candidate may also be required to possess proficiency in the Official Language (to read, write and speak) of the State/UT for which vacancies he wishes to apply and there may be some questions in the local language at the time of interview

Interview Centres: The interview will be held at different centres and the address of the venue will be advised in the call letters
The address of the venues will also be displayed in the bank’s website one week before the dates for commencement of interviews

How to apply: Candidates are required to apply online through website www.corpbank.com
No other means/mode of application will be accepted
Candidates should ensure that their personal email ID (as specified in the online application form while applying for Common Written Examination CWE conducted in November/December-2011) is kept active during the currency of the recruitment project
Bank would send call letters for interview etc to the registered email ID only
Applicants are first required to go to Bank’s website www.corpbank.com and click on the link Recruitment of Single Window Operator Project 2012-13
Thereafter, open the Recruitment Notification entitled Corporation Bank Single Window Operator Recruitment Project 2012-13
In case a candidate chooses to pay fees through branches of the bank, the candidate should take a print out of the fee payment challan, fill in the fee payment challan in a clear and legible handwriting in block letters, go to the nearest Corporation Bank branch with the fee payment challan and pay, in cash, the appropriate application fee in CBS Account No-CA01000737 with Rambhawan Complex, Mangalore, branch in the name and style of Corporation Bank Single Window Operator Recruitment Project 2012-13
In case a candidate chooses to pay fees through NEFT (IFSC Code-CORP0000377), go to the nearest branch of any bank and pay, in cash, the appropriate application fee in Account No-CA01000737 with Rambhawan Complex, Mangalore, Branch in the name and style of Corporation Bank Single Window Operator Recruitment Project 2012-13
Fill in the NEFT receipt in a clear and legible handwriting in Block Letters
NEFT form is available with respective banks
Candidates may find out the required branch address from the Bank’s website www.corpbank.com under head branch locater
Obtain the applicant’s counterfoil copy of the application fee payment challan/NEFT receipt duly authenticated by the bank with (a) branch name and branch code (b) transaction ID/scroll number (in case of payment through CBS) NEFT UTR Number( in case of payment through NEFT) (c) date of deposit and amount filled by the branch official
Candidates are now ready to apply online by re-visiting the recruitment link on the bank’s website and going to the sublink titled online application for Corporation Bank Single Window Operator Recruitment Project 2012-13 to open up the appropriate online application format
All the fields in the online application format should be filled up carefully
Carefully fill in the details such as fee payment details from the CBS Challan/NEFT receipt in the online application form, scores obtained in stipulated CWE etc at the appropriate places
Original fee payment receipt CBS challan/NEFT receipt will have to be submitted with the call letter at the time of interview
Without original CBS challan/NEFT receipt, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the interview
Candidates are also advised to keep a photocopy of the fee payment challan
The name of the candidate or his/her father/husband etc should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/marksheets
Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature
Candidates should not submit a printout of the application/fee payment receipt (CBS challan/NEFT receipt) to the bank at this stage
The application printout along with the fee payment receipt and required copies of documents should be kept ready for submission if short listed for interview
Please note that the above procedure is the only valid procedure for applying
No other mode of application or incomplete steps would be accepted and such application should be rejected
The applicant should sign and affix his/her photograph on such printout of application and keep the same ready for submission if selected for interview along with copies of required documents, original fee payment receipt (CBS challan/NEFT receipt), valid IBPS scorecard of the stipulated examination, self attested copy of school leaving certificate or any other document showing proof of age acceptable to the bank, self attested copies of mark sheets/certificates in support of educational qualification, self attested copy of certificate of Computer course, as applicable, self attested copy of caste/VI/HI/OC any other related certificate as applicable, self attested copy of photo identity proof
If selected for interview, candidates serving in Govt/Public Sector Undertaking (including Banks and Financial Institutions) will be required to submit their applications accompanied by a No Objection Certificate from their employer, in the absence of which their candidature will not be considered
It is for the candidate to ensure that he/she has met with the eligibility criteria and complied with the requirements and adhered to the instructions contained in this advertisement as well as in the application form
Candidates are, therefore, urged to carefully read the advertisement and complete the application form and submit the same as per instructions given in this regard

Call Letters: Cal letters for the interview will be sent by email to the shortlisted/eligible candidates to the ID registered in the online application
No separate communication by post will be sent
Candidate has to affix his/her photograph on the call letter
Candidate has to bring this call letter along with original fee payment receipt and requisite enclosures while attending the interview without which they will not be allowed to take up the interview
