NIOH recruitment 2012 for Scientists

National Institute of Occupational Health or NIOH was established in 1966 by the Government of India with the name as Occupational Health Research institute. Its main office is located at Ahmadabad. It works under Indian Council of Medical Research. NIOH works as a WHO Collaborative and Reference centre for Occupational health. Its regional centres are situated at Bangalore and Kolkata.NIOH invites applications from Indian Nationals for various posts of Scientists ‘B’ under the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100/- with grade pay of Rs.5400/-. Interested candidates with the required documents and qualifications can apply before 29th February 2012 by sending an application form. Placement will be in its regional offices located at Kolkata/ Bangalore or may be in Ahmadabad.

Total 4 posts are for Scientist ‘B’ in the area of Experimental Toxicology and Toxicology. Knowledge of computer application and maximum 35 years of age is required for both the areas. But candidates interested in the area of Experimental Toxicology should posses degree of M.V.Sc in veterinary Pathology/ veterinary Pharmacology along with Ph.D degree and experience in Animal experimentation. While for the post of Toxicology, candidates should posses MBBS degree or 1st class degree of M.Sc in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry or Environmental science along with Ph.d degree knowledge of instrumentation & methods.
